Typical unions utilize frusto-conical force to join tubing together. The combination of twisting motion applied to the tubing can cause ends to grind against each other, producing particulates that clog and contaminate fragile fittings downstream. Overtightening of standard fittings can also cause cracking and particle generation.

PicoClear™ uses pure radial compression to connect tubing together. This format ensures that tubing IDs are perfectly aligned. Uniformly applied pressure surrounds the tubing, thereby eliminating cracking and rotational friction that can induce contaminants.
