PicoClear™ Applications
PicoClear™ unions are a very robust and easy-to-use means of connecting
tubing, but their usefulness extends beyond simple connections.
Inline filter
Insert an unpacked New Objective IntegraFrit™ into
your experiment using a PicoClear union to create an inline
metal-free filter that can be visually inspected for contaminants.

After 2 hours, carbon and other particulates from improperly
filtered water are clearly visible at head of frit.

2D Separations and beyond
Take advantage of PicoClear's
™ zero-dead-volume design to connect columns of differing chemistries
with virtually no sensitivity loss.

the PicoFrit column is not cleanly cut, note the perfectly
matching IDs and absence of gaps. |

a PicoClear union (red) compared to a single 10 cm C18-packed
PicoFrit column (green)
shows no loss in performance. |
